If you find yourself wandering through the bustling streets of Osaka, make sure to carve out some time in your itinerary to visit the renowned HARBS Kintetsu Abeno Harukas Store, a delightful cafe that has become a must-experience destination for dessert lovers. Nestled on the third floor of the iconic Abeno Harukas building, this café is celebrated for its exquisite cakes and inviting ambiance that perfectly blends modern elegance with a touch of traditional charm.

HARBS is particularly famous for its lavishly crafted cakes, each a delightful masterpiece that pleases both the eyes and the palate. Among popular favorites, the Strawberry Cake steals the spotlight, boasting layers of flawlessly sponge cake, enveloped with fresh cream and ripe strawberries that burst with flavor. Pair this tantalizing treat with their original blend herb tea — a fragrant concoction that complements the sweetness of the desserts perfectly, creating a truly immersive taste experience.

The atmosphere at HARBS is as appealing as the menu. With its chic interior design and warm lighting, the cafe offers a cozy retreat from the hustle and bustle outside. However, be prepared for a queue; it is a popular spot among both locals and tourists alike. As one reviewer noted, "expect to wait in line," but many concur that it's well worth the wait. The service is attentive, ensuring a pleasant dining experience that makes you feel valued, even on busy days.

Customer reviews reflect a strong consensus that while HARBS may be on the pricier side, it delivers an exceptional dessert experience that's simply unmatched. "Great dessert place, fancy presentation, and good service," notes a satisfied solo traveler. This is a venue where the curation of each dish is treated with artistry, making every bite an occasion to savor.

It's important to note, however, that dining is time-sensitive; a recent visitor shared their experience of arriving late when the kitchen was closing, so it's advisable to enjoy your treat before 8 PM. And for those eager to capture the beauty of HARBS’ creations through their lenses, be aware that photography is prohibited within the cafe.

All in all, HALBS Kintetsu Abeno Harukas Store is more than just a cafe; it’s a culinary sanctuary where each dessert tells a story of quality and craftsmanship. Whether you're indulging in their signature cakes or simply sipping tea while you enjoy the ambiance, you're guaranteed an experience that will linger sweetly in your memory long after you’ve left.

When u come to Japan, you must try this place. Cream is not greasy and not too sweet and fresh fruit. You can have it every day.

We reached at 7pm and no dining is allowed in the restaurant, it was preparing to close, so please take note to come before that to dine in (google opening hours is until 8pm). Also NO PHOTOGRAPHY allowed We wanted to snap some photos of the cakes on display but was rudely stopped by the service staff. We got the chocolate crepe and fruit crepe cakes to go. Came packed nicely in a bag with cutlery. Very expensive too, about SGD15 per slice if I didnt recall wrongly. Fruit crepe cake wins hands down. Cream is light and airy coupled with generous amount of assorted fruits layer. Can try once will do.
